To honor the legacy and explore the future of hip-hip, we created an immersive VR experience to celebrate diverse artists and musicians pushing urban art culture forward. The virtual exhibit included a curated art exhibit, a virtual cocktail bar, and an intergalactic concert performed by acclaimed fusion band Phony Ppl, which featured one of the first applications of AI markerless motion capture. Showcasing more than 80 works from over 30 artists, the exhibit featured legendary photographer Polo Silk, Tanzanian-Nigerian visual artist Marryam Moma, and contemporary realist painter Tim Okamura. The Verse attracted hip-hop fans from across the world and Ad Age named it one of their “Top 5 Metaverse Moments You Need To Know About Now.”
